Sources and inclusion

Listings may be based on government records, credential directories, contractor submissions, public websites, other public sources, or independent research. Inclusion does not by itself mean Radon Cost Guide endorses, recommends, certifies, licenses, insures, supervises, or guarantees a contractor.

What labels mean

• Claimed means an approved requester demonstrated sufficient authority to associate with a profile; it is not proof of credentials, insurance, qualifications, or workmanship.
• Profile verified concerns the claimant's identity or authority; it is separate from certification verification.
• Certification verified means a credential was checked against an appropriate source as of a recorded date. Status may later change.
• Reported, expired, unresolved, or unknown should be read with the displayed date, source, and explanation.

Approving a profile claim never automatically changes certification information.

Accuracy and geography

Business, personnel, credential, insurance, contact, and service-area information can change. A geographic match does not guarantee that a contractor serves or will accept work at a particular property. Census ZCTAs are statistical approximations, not exact USPS delivery boundaries.

Your responsibility

Before hiring or paying anyone, independently verify identity, current certification, licensing or registration where required, insurance, permits, references, scope, price, contract terms, warranties, post-mitigation testing, and suitability for the property.

Independent services and paid placement

Radon Cost Guide does not perform or supervise contractor work and is not a party to homeowner-contractor agreements. Advertising, affiliate relationships, and paid or featured placement are currently disabled. If activated later, commercial placements will be labeled and payment will not establish credentials, quality, suitability, or geographic relevance.

Corrections

Suspected errors, credential discrepancies, and misleading geography may be reported under the Correction and Removal Policy.
